AETHER ENGINEERING
Commissioning · Energy · Condition Assessment

Buildings that run the way they were designed.

Aether Engineering is an independent engineering firm working on projects nationwide, coast to coast. Owners, design teams, and lenders bring us in as the third party who tests the systems, finds what is wrong, and documents it so it gets fixed.

Outdoor air below changeover. Outdoor air damper modulates to hold 55 °F mixed air.Observed: mixed air held 55.2 °FPASS
Outdoor air raised above economizer high limit. Damper returns to minimum position.Observed: damper remained at 100% openISSUE 1
Space CO₂ rises above setpoint. Outdoor airflow increases above design minimum.Observed: OA flow rose from 1,200 to 1,650 CFMPASS
Unoccupied mode. Damper closes, fan cycles on space setback.Observed: damper closed, fan off at 78 °F spacePASS
Every failed step becomes a numbered issue, tracked until it is retested and closed. That loop is the job.

Services

Four services, one engineer accountable for each.

Every engagement is led start to finish by a licensed professional engineer. No hand-off to a junior field tech.

Experience

Representative project experience.

Hotels, hospitals, labs, campuses, and federal facilities, from Honolulu to Miami. Client names are withheld.

Experience shown is the individual project experience of the firm's principal engineer, including work performed while employed by other engineering firms. It is not presented as the project history of Aether Engineering LLC.

The firm

Independent, engineer-led, and hands-on.

Aether Engineering is led by a professional engineer who has worked every stage of a building system's life. Our principal has designed similar systems, written sequences of operations, developed commissioning plans and specifications, reviewed submittals, run the functional tests, and written the issue that sends a contractor back to fix a sequence. The same engineer has assessed aging hotels, campuses, and federal facilities for owners and lenders deciding what to spend and when.

That range matters. A commissioning agent who has designed the system knows what the engineer intended. One who has written the sequences knows where they break. An assessor who has tested controls can tell equipment at end of life from equipment that is simply programmed wrong.
